Happy Weekend

Thanks to all that came to PTP meeting on Thursday and who came to help with the "cascarones" on Friday. Please continue selling your raffle tickets that are Festival date is getting closer. Kinder will have the pumpkin decorating booth so if you can get anyone to donate pumpkins or if you would like to donate pumpkins we will really appreciate it. We are also looking for crafts to decorate pumpkins. More details to come.

Gracias a los que pudieron acompañarnos a la junta el Jueves también a los que nos vinieron a ayudar con los cascarones el Viernes por la tarde. Favor de continuar vendiendo sus boletos que la fecha del Festival se acerca. Kínder estará a cargo del puesto de decorar calabazas. Si pueden conseguir donaciones de calabazas o si pueden donar se les le agradece mucho. También necesitaremos decoraciones para las calabazas. Mas detalles proximamente.

Parents:

We will be celebrating Our Blessed Mother's Birthday tomorrow during our Friday 8:00 AM mass. Please make sure to have your child at school early before 7:55 AM. Also, please join us on Sunday for mass at 11:00 AM. (Please arrive 20 minutes before the mass due to the Religious Education Program starting this Sunday) All are expected to attend and please wear your uniforms.

Estaremos celebrando el cumpleaños de la Virgen Maria en la misa del Viernes a las 8:00 AM. Favor de traer a su hijo/a a la escuela antes de las 7:55 AM. Tambien, recuerden que los estaremos esperandolos en la Misa del Domingo a las 11:00 AM (recuerden que este fin de semana empieza el catecismo--por eso se les pide llegar 20 minutos antes). Todos deben asistir y favor de ponerse su uniforme.

Important dates to remember / Fechas importantes

Hello Parents:

Just a reminder that the next "Safe Environment" training will be on Thursday, September 6th at 6:00 PM. Please make plans to attend if you haven't attended one yet. Any questions or concerns, please call the school office (972) 253-8285.

Also on Friday, we will be celebrating Our Lady's birthday. I am looking for a parent to bake blue icing cupcakes. Please let me know by Wednesday afternoon. 

You are invited to attend the PTP and SAC meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 PM to discuss the Fall Festival.

Se les recuerda que el proximo entrenamiento de "Ambiente Seguro" sera el Jueves, 6 de Septiembre. Favor de hacer arreglos para asistir, si no lo ha hecho. Preguntas o dudas favor de llamar a la oficina 972-253-8285.

Tambien estoy buscando a padres voluntarios para que cocinen unos pastelitos (cupcakes) con decoracion azul.

Estan invitados a asistir a las juntas del "PTP" y "SAC" el Miercoles a las 6:30 pm para hablar sobre el festival de otoño.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thank you to all the parents who joined us at the Pot Luck on Thursday. It was great seeing all of you. Remember that you have a free dress down day on Tuesday.

Espero que hayan disfrutado su fin de semana feriado. Gracias a todos las familias que nos acompañaron al "Pot Luck"(cena de traje) el Jueves pasado. Recuerden que si asistieron pueden venir en pantalón de mezclilla, tenis, y camiseta de la escuela el Martes.

Don't forget / no se les olvide

Parents don't forget that Thursday in Pot Luck night. Bring a dish to share with our St. Luke family. The dinner will take place in the Parish Hall (please park in church parking) at 6:00 PM.

Also make sure to check blue Wednesday Folder for very important information. Please pay close attention to the orange sheet for signing up to help for Fall Festival days (October 6-7).

Padres no se les olvide acompañarnos el Jueves "Pot Luck Dinner" Cena de traje. Traigan un platillo para compartir con los demas de la familia de San Lucas. La cena se llevara a cabo en el Salon de la Parroquia a las 6:00 PM. (recuerden que se tendran estacionar en el estacionamiento de la Parroquia).

Favor no se les olvide revisar las carpetas azules y repasar la información incluida. Pongan atención a una hoja naranja de horario para ser voluntario para el Festival de Otoño (6-7 de Octubre).

Hello:

This week we will be learning/review letter "Ll" and reviewing numbers 0 -5 . In science we will be distinguishing between living and non living things.

REMINDER:
PTP Pot luck dinner will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30th at 6:00 PM in the parish hall. Hope to see you all there. (remeber to bring a dish to share)

Esta semana estamos aprendiendo/repasando la letra "Ll". En matemáticas estamos practicando los números 0 al 5. En ciencias naturales estamos distinguiendo entre seres vivos y seres no vivos.

RECORDATORIO:

La cena de “traje”  (Pot Luck) es el Jueves, 30 de Agosto a las 6:00 PM en el Salón Parroquial. Espero verlos allí. (no se les olvide traer un platillo para compartir).
